L3Harris in Tewkesbury and Fleet form part of our ICI division. In the land domain, our T7 and T4 multi-mission robots deliver next-generation remote capabilities and uncompromised performance. We design and manufacture world-leading land force protection systems, cyber and electromagnetic activities (CEMA), electronic warfare (EW) and encryption capabilities. Our cyber capabilities provide an information advantage in the fields of kinetic conflict, cyber warfare, force protection and counterterrorism.
We are looking for a highly motivated and talented technician to provide quality service and repair across our UK and Canadian division, WESCAM.
The most important objective for this role is to provide quality service and repair of airborne surveillance turrets across the WESCAM product portfolio, as well as provide first class training and demo support to a diverse customer base.
Please note, UK and International travel will be required as part of this role.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
Maintain accurate service records, including reports on maintenance activities, service calls, and inventory management
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and electronic faults to resolve issues quickly and effectively
Work collaboratively with internal teams to support customer needs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Document Non-Conformances (NCR’s)
Install software and firmware in accordance with instructions
Participate in/lead customer demos and training
Provide regular status reports and update documentation as required
Setup of manual and ATE test sites in accordance with PTS instructions
Upon request, support WASC EFFA and QA investigations by providing repair event information
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
Proven experience in field service engineering or a similar role, ideally within the aviation or manufacturing sector
HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering
Strong Electro-Mechanical background and troubleshooting techniques
The ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Competent in the use of hand tools, wiring and soldering to IPC standard
Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites
