Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the east Dallas area. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems and excellent numerical skills.
Responsibilities:
• Processing municipal employee payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
• Managing payroll workflow to ensure all transactions are processed accurately and on time.
• Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validating confirmed reports.
• Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies and irregularities.
• Calculating and recording wage and overtime payments, as well as payroll deductions.
• Complying with payroll policies and procedures.
• Preparing reports that compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
• Handling payroll queries from employees and authorities.
• Maintaining complete and accurate payroll records.
• Inputting payroll data into digital systems and checking for errors.
• Executing time and attendance processing and interfacing with payroll.

Requirements • Proficiency in full cycle payroll is essential for this role
• Demonstrated experience in payroll processing for 101-500 employees is required
• Familiarity with payroll garnishments is necessary
• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll functions and processes is expected
• Proficiency in using payroll software is a must
• Experience in processing bi-weekly payroll is crucial
• Familiarity with Tyler Technologies Munis would be beneficial
• Ability to process payroll in a timely and accurate manner is expected
• Experience in processing biweekly payroll is essential
