In this exciting role as a Principal Photolithography Process Engineer, you will have responsibility for developing photolithography processes used in production of current and future products for Medtronic Diabetes business.

This position will work onsite at our plant in Tempe, AZ.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Act as primary responsible photolithography engineer representing Diabetes products in a multi-use fab

  • Develop, sustain, and improve multiple photolithography processes used in Diabetes products

  • Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for existing products.

  • Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.

  • Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.

  • Interact with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.

  • Develop and conduct statistical analysis or recommend additions to document work.

  • Lead the innovation, development and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations.

  • Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques including the measurement systems.

  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with production photolithography tools and processes

  • Experience in process and equipment development

  • Experience with semiconductor equipment/processes/technologies

  • Experience with DRM principles and/or DRM Green/Black belt certification

  • Knowledge of DOE, statistical analysis methods and data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, etc.).

  • Experience and understanding of SPC principles including process capability analysis and control charts

  • Mindset of teamwork and collaboration

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
