Job Description Summary
This role reports into the Pricing Director and will be an important part of the GEV Commercial Operations team.

Roles and Responsibilities
Create ad-hoc analysis supporting decision makers during DOA calls and strategy sessions
Provide deal-level pricing recommendations engaging with CommOps team during ITO process. Provides intuitive pricing processes and tools that include price guidance. Establishes proactive controls around price discipline such as price DOA & discount efficacy.
Uses data analysis and modeling techniques to ensure optimum pricing structures are in place and pricing trends are understood
Analyze market trends and industry dynamics
Create and lead a Quarterly reporting rhythm for Comm Ops, Product, Services
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of own and others sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups and uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Advise on new pricing programs for software, services, support, etc.
Monitor the results of pricing decisions by evaluating performance in relation to revenue, orders, and margins
Create and lead a Quarterly reporting rhythm for Comm Ops, Product, Services
Maintain detailed records for individual pricing programs and initiatives that can be used to evaluate and inform future pricing decisions
Support and maintain reporting capabilities such as dasboards, reports, etc.
Support collection, cleansing, and validation of external and internal data into a pricing "datalake"
Monitor, maintain, and customize the CPQ tool ensuring accurate prices, costs, and business rules
Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers.
Ability to prioritize information for decision making. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires advanced experience of 8 to 11 years in the Sales & Commercial Pricing in the software industry. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
