Duties and Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, this position assists law enforcement agencies, state attorneys, court officials, out of state motor vehicle and vessel departments, tax collectors, external companies, and the general public with requests for information related to driver license, driver history, and motor vehicle records. This position also serves as a subject matter expert in motor vehicle and driver license records and is responsible for actively participating as a team member on projects to include documenting, monitoring, and communicating project status to BOR management along with writing business process descriptions. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting with training of new members to include new processes due to motorist modernization. This position is also responsible to routinely monitor and conduct quality control assessment on the public record requests being provided as to the content and timely completion of the requests.

  • Technology: Internet, SharePoint, Motorist Maintenance, Florida Realtime Vehicle Information System (FRVIS), Driver and Vehicle Information Database (DAVID), and Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional work experience providing customer service.

  • Professional work experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Professional work experience planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments.

  • Professional work experience conducting process improvements and/or solving problems.

  • The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.

  • FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
