Server Mechanical Principal Engineer (DLC)
Mechanical Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for desktop, portable and server computer systems and peripherals. Our team conducts the analysis, feasibility studies and testing of mechanical products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations.

What you’ll achieve
As a Server DLC Mechanical Principal Engineer , you will provide thermal and mechanical technical leadership by developing and coordinating liquid cooling solution in Infrastructure Solutions Group organization for server products. Your job scope is from component level design and validation to system/Rack level implementation. Through collaborating globally with ODMs, suppliers, and Dell global functional teams (Mechanical/Reliability/EE/FW/Thermal/Platform) from product concept to sustaining, your mission is to deliver the best DLC solution with high quality in time.
You will:
Develop, optimize, and implement DLC solutions for server products through proactively collaborating with all stakeholders through simulation, design, and validation
Host global meetings with all stakeholders and manage development schedule for RTS requirement
Design specification discussion and definition
Triage issue and drive the root cause out
Participate the key initiatives to make daily job efficient and maximize portfolio benefit

Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or thermal engineering with capability of CAE/simulation and empirical tests
8+ years working experience as a DLC R&D engineer, not only on cold plate/tube routing design but also familiar to CDU and rack-level cooling facility
Good Communication and presentation skill with fluent English
Excellent capability for data analysis, root cause analysis, and issue triage. Deep understanding of DLC manufacturing process with DFM experience
