Full Charge Bookkeeper

JOB SUMMARY: The Full Charge Bookkeeper maintains and records a complete and systematic set of business transactions, requiring attention to detail and accuracy of Accounts Receivable.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manage Accounts Receivable and back up Accounts Payable. Issue invoices to, and Collect payment from, customers. Process daily credit card customer payments and scan daily check deposits into bank. Reconcile accounts as directed and ensure agreement to subsidiary reports and ledgers. Process journal entries as needed to adjust and correct general ledger accounts. Track sales and use tax data for monthly submission. Assist with year-end audit. Filing related to the above activities. Perform other accounting-related duties as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Accounting or similar concentration 2-3 years experience in an accounting role Experience with accounting or bookkeeping software Sage 50 (formerly Peachtree) preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Strong attention to detail Good communication skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities.

MENTAL AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS: Close mental and visual attention to prepare and analyze data and figures and work on a computer that requires close coordination and fine adjustment.
