We are looking for a Sr. Strategic Communications Manager to join the EU Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Communications Team. Our team supports hundreds of DSPs who engage thousands of drivers to deliver millions of packages per week through our Last Mile delivery network.

The ideal candidate must be a strong

communicator with strategic communications, business acumen, and excellent writing ability. Exercising extremely high judgment in narrow timeframes, particularly by injecting logic and care into strategic communications targeted at DSPs, is critical.

You will rapidly Earn Trust with multiple cross-functional partners, including program managers, product managers, and executives. You will be a thought leader who indexes high on emotional intelligence. You will bring in fresh ideas to simplify and scale our communications processes. You will have a passion for storytelling as there are so many wonderful stories to be found in this innovative space. Our environment is fast-paced and requires a candidate who has a high Bias for Action and thrives in ambiguity.

This role is a unique hybrid of B2B Comms and Internal Comms.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop a multi-channel content strategy for new program, technology and product launches, including written communications, executive messaging, infographics, and video scripts

• Translate complex messaging into simple and easy-to-understand content

• Interview DSPs (Delivery Service Partners) and program managers to build advocacy stories to promote the program as entrepreneurial opportunity of choice

• Identify emerging topics and develop proactive plans with stakeholders

• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications

• Understand and stay apprised of AU region logistics matters

A day in the life

We write a lot and "are right a lot"! We respond to business needs and develop messaging for change announcements. We own multiple channels by which we communicate to our DSP Owners, including the Communication Center, a newsletter, an internal social forum, and in-person/online events. We partner effectively with other content creator teams at Amazon to bring consistency and amplify our storytelling efforts.

About the team

The EUK DSP Communications Team is made up of 10 high-performing Communicators. Even though we are based in different cities across Europe and UK, we have a highly inclusive and collaborative culture. DSPs count on us to provide helpful and trustworthy information so they can operate their business efficiently and focus on what matters most to them, i.e., building a safety-first culture, developing their team and delivering in their communities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
