Job Summary
The Product Content Specialist plays a crucial role in shaping the way users interact with and understand our product. This role is responsible for creating, managing and optimising all product-related content, including in-app copy, help center articles, product documentation, release notes and user guides. By ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with the brand's voice, the Product Content Specialist enhances the overall user experience and drives product adoption.
Sitting within the Product team, this role acts as a bridge between Product, Engineering, Customer Support and Marketing to ensure that technical details are translated into clear, user-friendly content. The Product Content Specialist collaborates closely with these teams to refine messaging, improve onboarding experiences and provide valuable content that supports both internal teams and end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Release Notes & Product Updates
Write and maintain clear, structured release notes for customers and internal teams.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to understand new features, enhancements and bug fixes.
Ensure release communications align with brand voice and tone.
- System Emails & In-App Messaging
Craft automated system emails, alerts and notifications (e.g., password resets, feature rollouts, downtime alerts).
Optimise language to improve engagement and clarity.
Ensure emails are consistent with UX writing best practices.
- Help Centre & FAQs
Develop and maintain FAQs, user guides and knowledge base articles.
Work with Customer Support to identify common issues and create content that reduces support tickets.
Ensure self-service content is clear, accurate, and easy to find.
- Internal Product Documentation
Maintain internal documentation for Support, Sales and Marketing to ensure they understand product changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep product messaging aligned across all touchpoints.
- UX Writing & In-App Guidance
Write microcopy for UI elements, tooltips, and onboarding flows to improve user experience.
Work with UX Designers to ensure product copy is intuitive and user-friendly.
Qualifications & Requirements
Strong writing and editing skills with experience in technical or product content.
Ability to translate complex product features into easy-to-understand content.
Experience with help centre platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Notion, Confluence, or Intercom Articles).
Familiarity with SaaS product lifecycles and release management.
Basic understanding of UI/UX principles (preferred but not required).
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience working with SaaS products and/or fitness industry technology is a plus.
The role will require you to be in the office 3 days a week in Rosebery
