MCTA - -POCONO PONY Full-time Accounting Clerk in SWIFTWATER, Pennsylvania

Overview:  

The Monroe County Transportation Authority is seeking a detail-oriented and organized full-time Accounting Clerk to join our finance team in our Swiftwater office.

The individual will have a basic understanding of accounting principles with proficiency in Excel. This role is essential for maintaining accurate accounting records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The individual in this role will be responsible for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties within the department. The duties listed below do not encompass all responsibilities of the job:

  1. Receives, reconciles, and processes invoices and payments
  2. Receives, reconciles, and records cash, credit cards payments, and checks
  3. Produces various reports
  4. Manages inquiries from vendors, providing timely and accurate information to resolve issues effectively
  5. Manages inquiries from clients and processes tickets and passes
  6. Collaborates with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies
  7. Inputs data entry using Excel and Sage 100 software
  8. Utilizes Microsoft programs, such as Excel and Word, for data management, reporting, and documentation needs
  9. Files and archives
  10. Provides general office assistance as needed.

     

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma
  2.  3-5 years relevant experience
  3. Experience and proficiency with Excel is a must.

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree
  2. 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  3. Experience with Sage 100 Software.
