Consumer Audio Amplifier and Haptics product line is hiring an Audio application engineer to support its Audio and Haptics algorithms products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support for key customers and the FAE team, at customer sites worldwide, to win and maintain accounts.

  • Examples of technical support include assisting the design-in process by solving complex software integration problems, answering software product questions, reviewing software implementation, and hands-on software / algorithm debugging

  • Support customers with software integration post design wins.

  • Perform tasks including creating and presenting customer demonstrations; integrating and debugging software algorithms on various SoCs; performing software profiling; demonstration of software tools and helping backend team with software / algorithm library issue analysis

  • Develop and deliver high-quality technical training to the Audio FAE team across the globe

  • Documentation. Write high quality software application notes to help integrate TI audio algorithms for various popular SoCs along with FAQs and software debugging user guides.

  • Write and maintain software / algorithm debugging tools.

  • Integrate Smart amplifier driver one popular OS like Linux / QNX / Windows.

  • Travel approximately 6-8 weeks per year, within Asia/Americas, to support customers and work with customer’s software engineers for training

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with Master’s or PhD preferred and a minimum of 10 years of experience in Mobile Phone Audio industry

  • Basic programming using MATLAB/Python/C/C .

  • Strong experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with software tools such as QXDM, QACT etc and alike for latest Qualcomm based SoCs. Has good understanding of audio signal processing algorithms and techniques

  • Strong knowledge of Android multimedia framework for various popular SoCs like Audio reach, Aurisys and Calliope.

  • Working knowledge of Speaker acoustics, Smart amplifier algorithms.

  • Strong ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing, in Korean and English.

  • Audio enhancement and speaker protection algorithm tuning is a plus.
