The American Express talent strategy focuses on helping colleagues reach their full potential and strategically shaping the talent pipeline to drive business growth. Our talent planning programs and processes, in support of this strategy, must be conducted with the right risk & compliance controls and governance in place. This newly created Manager, Talent Risk & Governance role will report into the VP, Talent Risk & Governance and will help strengthen our Talent Planning programs while meeting our evolving regulatory requirements.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Help strengthen our Talent Planning processes and controls, solving for emerging regulatory challenges and expectations, and developing new monitoring and tracking processes
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring alignment with the AXP Risk Management Framework
Support the implementation of a Risk skills & staffing assessment process that meets industry best practices and is integrated into our current processes
Deliver reporting and governance for talent planning processes to senior leadership
Support requests from internal audit and external regulators
Partner across CEG and with Risk teams to ensure alignment, and that strong governance and controls in place
The position requires the ability to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced dynamic environment to support developing regulatory requirements. Successful candidates will be results-driven, adaptable to change and able to lead competing priorities within tight deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
4 years’ HR experience
Drive towards execution, ability to bring others along and influence change to get things done effectively and efficiently
Ability to synthesize, analyze and present data to senior leaders to inform solutions and measure impact
Strong project planning, organization, and decision-making skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Programs such as Excel or PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Talent Risk Management or Talent Management experience
Experience working at a large financial institution

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
