Aston Carter Accounting Clerk in Sunrise, Florida

Description

The Accounting Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's financial operations. Reporting to the Controller and other managers, this role involves a variety of tasks such as processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining organized records, and contributing to financial reporting and compliance efforts.

General Responsibilities

  • Collections: Timely input of receipts and resolution of complex collection issues.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of payments and monitor overdue accounts.

  • Invoice Processing: Verify and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.

  • Automated Systems: Ensure invoices are being sent to customers automatically, with manual input as needed.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.

  • Audit Assistance: Provide necessary support during internal and external audits.

  • Expense Reports: Process employee reimbursements accurately and efficiently.

  • Communication: Collaborate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve financial inquiries or issues.

  • Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.

  • Compliance: Ensure all financial activities align with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software.

  • Administrative Support: Perform additional tasks to assist the finance department.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk or similar position, preferably within the aviation industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn the company’s ERP and accounting software.

  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

  • Capability to handle multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to shifting circumstances.

  • Experience with ERP-integrated accounting systems is highly preferred.

  • A positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to professional growth.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
