Description

As the Tools Team Manager you will lead a dedicated team of developers and coordinate the development lifecycle of a suite of applications from conception to deployment. In this role, your team will collaborate closely with our Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Security, and Deployment teams, directly influencing their ability to successfully support Apple’s Infrastructure. Here you will help set the strategic direction with multi-functional partners both within and outside your organization. Your impact will be demonstrated by developing and supporting toolchains that drive Apple’s continued growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience in software engineering management

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the following technologies: Python, Go, Swift, Postgres, Mongo, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Infrastructure

  • Experience with networking technologies in large-scale environments

  • Expertise in developing and debugging software service stacks

  • Expert level understanding of networking protocols, including HTTP, TLS, and TCP/IP

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in crafting and deploying application stacks that support network infrastructure teams and directives

  • In-depth knowledge of computer science fundamentals and software architecture best practices

  • Able to architect performant, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems in network infrastructure ecosystems

  • Practical knowledge with compute virtualization technologies and how they fit into the software development pipeline

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
