The Medical Receptionist is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday – Friday, 7:30AM – 6:00PM (10-hour shifts, 40-hours per week). Schedule will be determined by supervisor within the hours of 7:30AM – 6:00PM.

Location: 9330 Market Square, Streetsboro, OH

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and professionally handling all front desk operations including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling of all appointments, balancing daily collections, addressing routine inquiries, and forwarding non-routine requests to appropriate personnel

  • Assists with the inventory and maintenance of business office supplies and the completion of business office reports

  • Completes and maintains schedules for 2.5 physicians, coordinates patient visits and medical procedures

  • Taking messages for providers and handling forms

  • Documents appropriate information in patient’s charts using an electronic medical records system

  • Works daily reports, incomplete encounters, No Show reports, and other designated administrative reports according to office procedures

  • Receives consultant reports, maintains documentation, and routes to the appropriate physician promptly. Coordinates pre-admission testing requirements with clinic personnel and patient

  • Completes all administrative functions associated with referral activities in a timely manner

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Previous experience with medical insurance

  • Prior experience with EMR computer applications

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology

  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
