Insight Global System Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a System Engineer to join one of our largest defense clients out of Warren, MI. This person will lead the integration of advanced sensor technologies into complex combat vehicle systems. They will author detailed requirements using DOORS, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Also, provide expert technical advice to program management staff and supporting agencies to address critical risk issues. Other responsbilites include:
Support proposal development and government negotiations, translating technical requirements into clear and concise documentation. Focus areas: NBC, EMI, environmental, shock and vibration
Contribute to the development of overall technical policy for the customer and disseminate information to relevant organizations
Work closely with engineers from various disciplines, including optics, sensors, mechanics, and electronics
$40/hr to $60/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience working with sights or sensors
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Robotics Engineering
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance - Active Secret Clearance
Previous DoD experience null
