Stitzer Crane Services Inc. Certified Crane Operator in State College, Pennsylvania
Full time position certified crane operator. Operate truck mounted 45 and 110-ton hydraulic cranes w/ telescoping boom. NCCCO cert. and CDL A required. Must be able to pass drug & background checks.
Job Responsibilities: • Drive appropriate crane to assigned job site and operate crane in cooperation with the assigned foreman • Set up crane using site evaluation skills and OSHA guidelines • Operate crane to lift, move, and position loads, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials, using hoisting attachments, such as hook, sling, electromagnet, or bucket; observes load hookup and determines safety of load • Rig equipment, machinery, and material using slings and other riggings gear as required • Read and understand load chart (good math skills) • Control crane movement in response to hand signals or radio commands • Complete pre-trip inspection of crane, completing the daily checklist; notify truck shop manager of defects or malfunctions • Ensure that fluids are at appropriate levels for efficient, safe operation • Complete other miscellaneous tasks, as directed by supervisor; learn new skills as needed for such tasks • Assist regularly with maintenance and clean-up of job site work area for safety and job efficiency • Assist with an perform crane maintenance
Job Qualifications/Requirements: • Be able to lift up to 70 lbs • Be able to climb in/out of and around large trucks • Have current, valid PA driver's license and CDL (Class A) • Have current NCCCO certification
