Statewide Payroll Services has an opening for an experienced payroll professional who will support payroll and accounting staff in state agencies. This position serves as the state expert for labor distribution, expense transfers, cost projections, and business expense reimbursements.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of three (3) years professional level experience with a large enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, such as PeopleSoft, WorkDay or SAP;
Three years professional level experience in the operation of a payroll process;
Accounting knowledge in areas such as reconciliation, deductions and withholding;
Proven analytical, problem-solving and research skills;
Proven communication skills (oral, written and presentation).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience/understanding of SWIFT/SEMA4;
Extensive knowledge of Peoplesoft software and table structure;
Extensive experience in the use of PS Query and Crystal reporting tools;
Experience with state government sufficient to have an understanding of the diverse payroll operations of state agencies;
CPA certificate or Payroll Certification by PayOrg;
BA or Advanced degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field;
Extensive experience utilizing personal computer application software;
Experience analyzing and redesigning complex business processes.
