Aston Carter Accounts Receivable Clerk in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Job Description

  • The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for applying daily cash received through lockboxes and other means to customer accounts using applicable accounts receivable systems.

  • This role involves processing remittance information, reviewing instructions accompanying items to determine proper application, and reconciling customer accounts.

  • The specialist initiates communication with internal and external accounting personnel to resolve customer account issues and discrepancies.

  • Additionally, the role supports maintaining an electronic payment (EFT) spreadsheet in collaboration with the Credit department and notifies customers of upcoming payments.

  • Responsibilities also include posting manual invoices, monitoring and processing chargebacks, eliminating unapplied cash from customer accounts, and maintaining the accounts receivable procedure manual.

  • Support for Credit department projects and other duties as required are also part of the role.
