Quality Control Technician, CMM/PCMM - 1st Shift
Competitive hourly pay and a Monday thru Friday schedule!
Pay Range: $40,300 - $60,320/yr

Hours: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with potential OT
Ability to work OT based on work demands
Previous Quality Inspection/QC experience required
CMM and/or PCMM experience required
Basic Functions and Scope of Work: Within the framework of The Company's policies and procedures, the Quality Control Technician, CMM/PCMM Operator position will have the authority and responsibility to accomplish the duties as described below. The mission of this position is to provide service to all areas while striving to improve internal processes.
Quality Control Technician Responsibilities:
Precision machining and manufacturing services.
Inspect all parts scheduled for FPI (First Part Inspection) using all inspection tools within the quality dept. with the stationary CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), or the PCMM (Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine, if applicable), and manual inspection equipment (height gauge, micrometers, bore gauge, etc.).
Maintain organization of CMM machines, programs, and associated software to run efficiently as possible and to eliminate crashes, downtime, and inefficient inspection techniques following direction from quality supervisors.
Record all dimensions required for FAI (First Article Inspection) into the database as required.
Provide objective and consistent service to all areas of manufacturing in relation to First Part Inspections and other quality activities.
Monitor manufacturing routing for Quality related content (including acceptance and inspector stamps) and adherence to Quality Manual requirements.
Assure proper paperwork is maintained for the selling of jobs to all customers (less FAI AS9102 documentation).
Work closely with and support all other quality dept. personnel to maintain efficient parts “to be inspected” during production.
Spot check critical dimensions on the shop floor as assigned by shift supervisor. Conform to all requirements of The Company's Quality Program and any and all customer-specified quality requirements (AS-9100).
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
Contribute as a team member by accomplishing specified tasks as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2-3 years of QC/Inspection experience required.
2-3 years of consistent CMM Programming experience preferred.
Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to interpret blueprints.
One year of PC-DMIS preferred.
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience:
Excellent organization skills required.
Attention to detail, a must.
Consistent and dependable attendance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to use basic Microsoft Office tools for documentation.
Able to manage multiple tasks at once and switch between assignments easily.
Organizational Structure - Reports To: Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Co-Leads, night and weekend shift supervisors as applicable.
Work Environment:
Physical Surroundings: Indoor climate-controlled environment.
Adverse Working Environment: The work environment may at times have a risk of heavy parts falling, cold environments, and injury exposure. Steel toe shoes are required.
Physical Effort: The Quality Control Technician position may require long periods of standing or sitting, occasional walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying items up to 35 lbs., holding, reaching, stooping, crouching, speaking, observing, and listening.
