DUTIES: Under indirect supervision, to perform document control work in accordance with Company practices and procedures. Processing documents of a complex nature, requiring the exercise of independent judgment with respect to maintaining records; supporting project teams, and occasional to frequent trips to the field. Employees selected for this position are not eligible to bid or transfer to another position for a period of two (2) years. In this connection to perform details of work, such as: Learn and use Ameren’s document management systems. Administer and comply with document control procedures for various projects and department documents, both confidential and public record. Serve as records custodian for foreign print documents, manuals—administering the records management policy and procedure through actions to identify, classify and review change controlled documents in data management system. Reproduce, deliver, and retrieve documents as necessary and provide document support while in the field. Respond to internal or external vendor inquiries or requests for drawings and documents. Review documents and make corrections/edits as needed to properties in the DMS. Review as-built drawings prior to approval and distribution. Prepare spreadsheets, presentations and reports as directed. Assist in training other document control personnel and external consultants as part of peer mentorship process. Prepare work packages for the scheduling department during outages, as needed. Utilize a PC and the LAN to access drawing records and engineering documents. May perform all duties of Document Control Specialist I as well as required.

RESPONSIBILITES: Primarily located in the St. Louis area with occasional travel required to remote plants and construction sites. Operate in other software applications as required; to include Power Plant, TRIS, API and EMPRV, Vault Professional and any successive systems. Maintain good communication, organization and human relations skills and the ability to work in team environment. Ability to adapt to changes in systems applications and procedures. Retain as confidential, information obtained in connection with departmental work.

CONTACTS: Contact with employees in various departments of the Company in connection with duties including personal and telephone contacts with outside engineering firms and others as required.

HAZARDS: Hazards involved in use of motor vehicles with work-related travel and job hazards associated with power plant and construction sites.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or the equivalent. Satisfactory completion (grade of at least a "C") of fifteen (15) credit hours of study leading towards an associate degree or higher, at an accredited university, college, or junior college. Two (2) years of experience as a Document Control Specialist I or Five (5) years of experience outside the Company in document processing, records management, or quality control. Must earn recommended score on the EEI Data Entry Test and the Clerical Aptitude Battery. (BCAB). Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting/Design), GIS (Geographic Information System) preferred. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
