DESCRIPTION

About this Position

The Clinical Financial Services (CFS) Supervisor oversees a medical billing team for Community Health Centers of Lane County, Lane County Behavioral Health, and Lane County Public Health. The CFS Supervisor also advises in adherence to Medicaid and Medicare rules and procedures, and directly advises the Federally Qualified Health Center Finance Manager and Program Managers on patient charges, insurance, write-offs, collections, and other aspects of the billing and collection cycles. The CFS Supervisor should have general understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, and experience leading staff with varied workloads, ability to recognize success and areas for opportunity through metrics and reporting. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role.

About this Division

The Health and Human Service Clinical Financial Services (CFS) Division performs revenue cycle services for the Lane County Community Health Centers (CHC) and Lane County Behavioral Health, and Lane County Treatment Center. The CFS Billing Team ensures the accuracy and integrity of patient charges, insurance claims, write-offs, collections, and other aspects of the billing and collection cycles.

Schedule : Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

QUALIFICATIONS

Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

  • Some positions may require a Master's Degree or Medical Doctorate specific to area assigned

Experience:

  • Four years of professional experience directly related to area assigned, including lead or supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Special Requirements:

  • Certified Professional Coder certification preferred. Knowledge of OCHIN EPIC Practice Management system preferred.

Health insurance coverage becomes effective the first of the month following your first 30 days as an eligible employee.
