Our client, a mid-size manufacturing company who has been in business for over 60 years is seeking a Cost Accountant due to growth! Our client has an amazing work/life balance and top-notch culture!
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries related to manufacturing operations, inventory transactions, and other cost-related activities.
• Analyze capital expenditures to ensure compliance with company policies and budgets.
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Conduct job costing activities to determine the true cost of production for various products or projects.
• Perform variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts as needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
· 2+ years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
· Experience with Syteline ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems preferred
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
