Description
Job Description This position will be under a manager that manages the network Level 1 team along with Desktop team. Her L1 Network support team does not do config, upgrades, planning & strategy or maintanace. Her team supports the L3 Network engineering team in various support capacities when they need help setting up routers, switches and/or voice technology throughout the organization. The L3 Network team is responsible for the config and maintanance over the devices. The L1 team will be responsible for working hands on with switches, routers, cables, repatch cables, and do basic things on switch or routers when setting them up. This is position requires someone have a good understanding of basic routing protocols, and network operations. This team supports Cisco, Juniper and Ciena appliances. They work on both core network and voice technologies. We expect to have a stronger need for someone who has a good Cisco. Core Network skills are preferred over voice since the manager feels comfortable teaching someone on their voice Podline activities.
Job Description: Work description:
· Provide Level 2 support consistent with Network data and voice support models.
· Maintain a working knowledge of:
o Network data (Cisco/Juniper routing, switching, WAN/LAN protocols)
o Voice technologies (Legacy PBX, Cisco, MS Lync)
o Network Services Internal Processes.
· Maintain operations reliability
o Plan network changes
o Resolve network problems
o Participate in review meetings as required to support network implementation activities
o Provide recovery and restoration of the network in event of a disaster or major incident
· Security and Controls
o Comply and contribute to completing Security and Controls process regarding Network data and voice technologies
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
