Aerotek Hiring For Welder !
Job Description: Utilize welding techniques to fabricate metal components and assemble structural forms. Primarily focused on TIG welding, with some robotic MIG welding. The parts have stringent cosmetic requirements, so welds must look aesthetically pleasing (fine beading, even welds, invisible welds, etc.).
Essential Functions/Duties:
Perform TIG & MIG welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum (gauge 18 – 12).
Grind off excess weld, slag, or splatter using portable tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Certifications not required, but must pass a weld test.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Minimum two-year technical degree.
Required: 1-2 years of welding-related experience and/or training; equivalent experience may replace formal education.
Basic welding aptitude.
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and simple drawings.
Effective communication skills to interact with team members, express needs, and ask questions.
Ability to interpret instructions in various forms (written, oral, diagram, schedule).
Computer skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and manufacturing software.
Physical Demands:
Occasionally remain stationary up to 50% of the time; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.22/hr.
