Cook: 13 openings at Midcoast Hospitality Group, working at 60 Newagen Colony Rd, Southport, ME 04576 and 92 Wall Point Rd, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538; phone: (207) 579-7007. Duties include preparing foods and kitchen for the day, including chopping, cutting, pulling food from walk-ins, starting equipment, etc., preparing and cooking foods/meals to order using a ticket system according to recipes, serving prepared meals to waitstaff, cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, etc., closing kitchen at the end of the night by cleaning, taking care of food and waste, and shutting off all equipment; some workers may supervise/coordinate the work of other cooks during certain shifts; 40+ hours per week., Monday-Sunday (1-2 days off, varies), shifts available as early as 6:00 a.m. to as late as 11:00 p.m., \$19.27 per hour, overtime possible at \$28.91 per hour; temporary full-time position (April 1, 2025 to October 25, 2025). No minimum education or experience required; on-the-job training will be provided; performance-based bonus and/or raise possible. Optional employer-provided housing available at \$100-\$150 per week deducted from biweekly pay, if elected. Employer offers to help workers find housing if employee does not opt in to employer-provided housing. Paid biweekly using a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due. Standard payroll deductions as required by law.

Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if worker completes half the employment period; the amount for daily subsistence will be at least \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts; return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Reimbursement within one week after the start of work of visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The employer will provide workers, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
