Cardiometabolic Research - Associate Scientist
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will conduct a variety of routine laboratory tasks and procedures. They assist with data collection and basic analysis under the supervision of more senior scientists.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct cell culture experiments, ensuring proper documentation and aseptic technique.
Maintain both suspension and adherent cell lines at various working volumes, including cell feed and reagent preparation, cell banking, cell scale-up, routine plasmid ordering, and lab device maintenance.
Run various in vitro assays to assess target activity.
Proficiently handle Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Cell culture growth and handling, and DNA Sequence Analysis.
Work on the integration and optimization of sample preparation for novel diagnostic PCR tests.

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 1 year of using molecular biology techniques, cell culture, protein purification, and In Vivo work experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of using molecular biology techniques, cell culture, protein purification, and In Vivo work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences
1-2 years of relevant work experience in the industry
Strong technical skills in Molecular Biology Techniques, including Protein Purification and Cell Culture.
Proficiency in running and analyzing in vitro and in vivo experiments.
Experience with maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with GLP and aseptic technique.
Ability to maintain both suspension and adherent cell lines and perform related preparatory tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
