Job Summary:** The Skilled Assembler is responsible for assembling products with precision and efficiency according to specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assemblies.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform functional tests on finished products to ensure proper operation.
- Identify and report any defective parts or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and housekeeping policies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Document work processes and complete production reports as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in assembly or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an assembler in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required (up to [insert weight] pounds).
