Konecranes, Inc. Customer Service Supervisor in Solon, Ohio

Duties: Responsible for overseeing all customer-related functions within your department which includes customer service, order entry, and RMA personnel as well as achieving the customer satisfaction objectives. Additional duties include ensuring customer orders are produced and shipped effectively, accurately, and on time; managing and communicating improvement action plans throughout the department while promoting professional development of your staff; and responsible to train, develop and motivate employees to provide outstanding customer service. Responsible maintaining communication paths to our customers to satisfy their product and delivery requirements. Provides and supervises customer service duties. Ensures all customers' needs are supported and excellent customer service is provided, through employee development and coaching. Manages customer service representatives to ensure accurate and timely order entry. Ensures open and constant communications with sales force and dealers/customers. Oversees RMA processes ensuring that the cost of impact for Demag is minimized and the return materials are processed timely. Manage the implementation and continuous improvement in the sales and distribution processes while adhering to ISO standards. Provides input, support, ideas, etc. with development and introduction of new products, employee training and departmental efficiency improvements. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, disciplining, counseling, training, and the development of personnel in your department. Encourages, coordinates, and supports employee development and training. This involves customer service, product, and SAP training. Conducts annual performance/wage reviews of his/her staff and makes recommendations regarding salary, promotion, or termination. Prepare operational reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusions: develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures: keep abreast with industry trends and new and changing techniques relating to your areas of responsibility. Requirements: Associate's Degree in Business or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 10 years' experience in an operations and/or customer service environment is required. Have a solid background in MRP II systems, specifically SAP Logistics functionality, including sales and distribution and materials management. Should be familiar with customer service environment including manufacturing and distribution environments. Must have interpersonal skills. Must have solid PC knowledge. Must have skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel). Travel may be required but is no more than 5% of the time and will normally be domestic.
