We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the management of bids, budgets, margins, and contracts. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining schedules, managing job costs, and all associated documentation. Your role will also involve mitigating risks while allocating resources and communicating with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Manage bids, budgets, and margins
Negotiate contracts
Create and maintain schedules
Manage job costs
Handle all associated documentation with subcontracts, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.
Mitigate risk while allocating resources
Communicate with clients about their needs and expectations
Review project daily with Field Manager to ensure schedule, codes, deliveries, etc., are controlled and budget is maintained
Review drawings and specifications for code accuracy, potential errors, omissions, and missing scope
Prepare and review financial reporting tools associated with the project to keep under budget and provide alerts if concerns are noted
Understand our client’s organization, equipment, store layouts, and operational goals while managing their expectations
Adapt to project challenges well
Communicate with direct reports and supervisor daily
Conduct jobsite safety checklists regularly and take ownership of best safety practices
Manage operations of high-volume construction projects
Lead multiple construction teams to deliver projects ahead of time and within budget
Evaluate development opportunities and the viability of in-house general contracting
Develop, implement, and manage best practice construction processes
Train staff and monitor their development
Be visible and accessible on job sites
Approve and train direct reports on spending, budgeting, and best practices

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
8-10 years of project management experience
Strong working knowledge of the middle Tennessee market
General estimating and pricing experience
5-10 years of experience in the middle Tennessee market
Project coordination
Engineering
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people simultaneously
Ability to oversee and manage multiple job sites
OSHA 30 Certification (or within 30 days of hire)
Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule
Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints
General contractor management
Value engineering construction documents
Experience or ability to learn construction-specific software
Ability to read building plans and understand construction processes
Strong time management skills
Ability to diffuse conflict and communicate effectively
Strong interpersonal skills

Work Environment
The role primarily involves working in an office environment but will require frequent visits to job sites. You must be visible and accessible on job sites to ensure project milestones are met. The position demands flexibility in working hours to accommodate project needs and workflow.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $67.30 - $84.13
