Requirements

Education and Qualifications:

  • BS or higher in Sciences or Engineering.

  • 3 – 4 years in pharmaceutical lab environment.

  • Routine Lab maintenance.

  • Supply chain inventory management.

  • Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting experience preferred.

  • Experience in CMMS.

  • Experience with BM.

  • GDocP experience a plus with documentation software experience.

  • Use of electronic quality management systems.

  • 5S experience a plus.

  • Will need transportation to travel from site to site upon occasion.

  • Mandatory 3-5 years’ experience of Process Optimization using Blue Mountain RAM.

  • Mandatory 3-5 years’ experience of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Mandatory 3-5 years’ experience of GMP Documentation experience.

  • Mandatory 3-5 years’ experience of Lab Equipment Troubleshooting and Repair.

  • Mandatory 3-5 years’ experience of Maintenance of Lab Equipment.

    Working Conditions:

  • This role may involve working in an office, laboratory, or manufacturing area.

  • Must be able to work in gowning attire within a controlled environment for extended periods.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work safely with hazardous, radioactive, and biological materials and waste, ensuring safety both when working independently and with others.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

About the Role

We are seeking a Lab Operations Technician to support lab operations at the Summit and Warren sites (3 days in Warren, 2 days in Summit, transitioning to 5 days in Summit by year-end). This 100% onsite role involves maintaining lab consumable inventory, troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on equipment, coordinating vendor services for repairs and calibrations, and ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDocP). The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of experience in a pharmaceutical lab environment, a B.S. or higher in Sciences or Engineering, and expertise in equipment maintenance, CMMS software (BMRAM or Maximo), and electronic documentation management. Reliable transportation is required for occasional travel between sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn and follow lab specific procedures and policies.

• Provide a customer service experience to end users and collaborate to ensure objectives are completed in a timely manner.

• Check, rotate, order and stock consumable inventory within the lab environment.

• Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation pipettes, balances, centrifuges, flow cytometers and other analytical equipment.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on lab equipment.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs as necessary.

• Be a Subject Matter Expert on equipment issues to resolve problems and reduce downtime.

• Schedule and escort vendors to perform duties on jobsite per company policy for repairs, maintenance, calibrations, and installations.

• Plan and schedule vendors for routine maintenance and calibrations on a monthly basis and meet completion KPIs.

• Complete and review documentation for completeness using Good Documentation Practices (GDocP).

• Experience with quality systems documentation to draft, review, and approve using electronic documentation management software.

• Experience in using CMMS software Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management (BMRAM) or Maximo.

• Provide 5S organization standards to optimize laboratory organization.

• General maintenance of the CTDO laboratories.

• Knowledge and use of electronic quality documentation systems.
