JOB REQUIREMENTS: Sr. Staff Accountant Curt G. Joa, Inc., 100 Crocker Avenue, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, United States of America Req #285 Monday, June 17, 2024 JOA is a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to excellence in our field. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position is integral to supporting our foreign subsidiaries with intercompany sales, transactions, and international tax reporting. Additionally, the Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts, assisting with the month-end close, managing annual budgets, cash forecasting, and handling banking tasks. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job: Responsible for International Tax reporting, including VAT tax. Support JOA\'s foreign subsidiaries with intercompany sales and transactions. Assist with month-end close cycle. Prepare monthly cash forecast. Responsible for various Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations on a monthly basis. Assist with annual budgets and provide budget-to-actual analysis during fiscal year. Maintain and confirm that accounting policies and procedures are following GAAP regulations. Partner with other departments, as needed, on process improvements and analysis. Provides support and back-up as needed to various monthly and yearly reporting as well as for various other cash applications. Handle ACH and Wire transactions. Submit Sales and Use Tax returns/payments to state. Collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop broad-based personal knowledge, skills, and abilities towards key JOA competencies. Occasional Job Responsibilities: Complete various year-end reconciliations and audit requests. Act as back-up to FAS system for fixed assets and reconciles activity to the general ledger. Act as back-up for completing annual Federal and State reporting of fixed assets. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting required 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience preferred Knowledge of specialized bank software is preferred Demonstrate current knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls. Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office - Excel and Access, with basic understanding of Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrate capability to develop, write and follow procedures.
