Job Title: VDC Detailer - Remote

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled VDC Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will link Revit files, create and modify schedules for drawings, and set up view filters and templates. The role involves accurately modeling electrical equipment, light fixtures, and other components per project specifications while ensuring all elements are properly sized and spaced. Additionally, the VDC Designer will review and mark up drawings, place and code APL points, and export point files from the project.

Responsibilities

  • Link Revit files

  • Create and modify schedules for drawings

  • Set up view filters and templates

  • Layout conduit racks with proper parameters, conduit spacing, conduit sizing, j-box size and location

  • Accurately model electrical equipment and light fixtures per project specs and submittals

  • Clash modeled content for electrical equipment and light fixtures per project specs

  • Review and mark up drawings done by others and ensure corrections are made

  • Place and code APL points and export the point file from the project

Essential Skills

  • Experience with Revit MEP

  • Proficiency in Navisworks

  • Knowledge of Bluebeam

  • Familiarity with BIM 360

  • Experience in electrical and/or specialty systems field

  • Job-related experience in 2D and 3D modeling

  • 3-5 years field and/or technical experience combined or 3-4 years of software experience

  • Advanced understanding of NEC and BICSI codes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or BIM Technology

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Smartsheet, and Excel

The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and accountability. Dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $88000.00/yr.
