Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician
Job Description
As a Microbiology Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing various quality control tasks related to microbiological testing in compliance with internal SOPs and cGMP requirements. Key responsibilities include performing aseptic microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. You will maintain the use of live microbiological agents and cultures and perform growth promotion. You will collect and analyze samples for environmental monitoring, evaluate data for trends, and write standard operating procedures and microbiological test methods. Administrative duties to document work and lab investigations will be a part of your role. You will also review and approve lab work, operate and maintain instrumentation for product testing, and assist in managing lab inventory. Your role will extend to assisting in Out of Spec investigations, deviations, and CAPA’s, and communicating pertinent issues with other shifts.
Skills & QualificationsEducation and Required Experience:
• Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology or closely related discipline
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in micro or medical lab setting
Physical/Mental Requirements:
• Hand-eye coordination (computers)
• Combination: sit – 25% stand/walk – 75%
• Able to effectively balance and prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and interruptions simultaneously.
• Lifting: Infrequent up to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Sharonville, Ohio.
Work Environment
Our work environment follows a shift schedule from 6:30am - 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with one mandatory Saturday per month (not a full day, just a couple of hours in the morning).
