Position Overview:
The Sr. Senior Cloud Engineer role will serve as a key member of the Cloud Infrastructure Services team and will be primarily responsible for the compute and storage for the Commercial services US environment. This will include responsibility over the infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Load Balancer) design, build-out (deployment), creation and maintenance of required documentation, as well as monitoring and operational tasks, including ensuring the normal day-to-day operational integrity of the infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Load Balancer) and troubleshooting issues to ensure the stability of the service.
Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert in the design, build, deployment and support of VMWare virtualized platforms with Windows and Linux guests
Subject matter expert in the design, build, deployment and support of NetApp storage platforms
Subject matter expert in high availability (HA) deployments of all infrastructure components
Ensure infrastructure services fulfill resiliency and disaster recovery requirements
Assist in the deployment and support of networking, security and various compute platforms
Monitor the performance and availability of deployed infrastructure
Ensure regular maintenance of infrastructure components including patch management and end of life planning
Write and review infrastructure design documents, build books and run books
Ensure compliance with change control processes and adherence to compliance standards and policies.
Proactively identify problems and capacity constraints using available capacity and monitoring tools
Participate in planning and design discussions around infrastructure support best practices such as:
Automation tools
Monitoring requirements
Backup requirements
Secure management of infrastructure
Participate in day-to-day infrastructure operations, technical guidance and support issue resolutions, including duty pager support throughout the workday, evenings and weekends; in accordance with published Service Level Agreements.
Basic Qualifications
Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or equivalent experience or education is required.
Minimum 7+ years IT experience
5+ years of High Availability, High Security environments and the requisite rigor needed to operate in that environment
5+ years of experience deploying infrastructure for IT services specifically
5+ years working with enterprise class Compute / Storage design
Must have ability to travel freely to the USA and internationally.
Respond to support requests and participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance windows
Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ESX, VCenter, VSAN, Hyper converged technologies
Experience with Cisco UCS, Dell Servers
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS or Azure)
Experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, ASM)
Experience with troubleshooting issues in complex environments
Experience with VMWare, VCenter
Experience with Veaam or Rubrik Backup
Experience with Check_MK Orion monitoring and alerting platform
Experience with Netapp Storage platforms
Experience with RHEL, CentOS and Windows operating systems administration
Experience with deployment automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, BASH, Python, PowerShell/PowerCLI, Git
Knowledge of Cisco (IOS and NX-OS), Palo Alto, switching, routing
Knowledge of PKI, SSL or Identity technologies
Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL process
Detailed infrastructure documentation skills
Global/International Data Center experience

Compensation Range:
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $107,542-$157,728 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
