Position Overview:

Entrust is seeking a Manager, Software Development, to lead our dynamic software engineering team, with a thrilling focus on cloud technology and project delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the development for the company digital commerce and digital manufacturing. You will serve as a key liaison to initiate technical projects and will collaborate with forward-thinking teams across the organization as well as external vendors to address technology gaps identified in our software delivery process. As a leader and mentor, you will play a central role in shaping the automation vision, to inspire talented team of developers and engineers to join this journey. An ideal candidate is a technical and business savvy leader who has master agile project management, drive disruptive innovation and communicate at all levels. The candidate must be able to translate very complex technical concepts into business strategies for audiences varying from developers, upper manager and senior executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategic planning and execution of software solutions across multiple platforms

  • Lead technical architecture decisions and efforts to build and maintain a highly scalable software platforms: containerization platforms, Docker, Kubernetes (preferably AKS)

  • Decompose and elaborate on feature requirements and management of team backlog

  • Guide teams in sprint and increment planning, championing, and supervising value-focused capabilities

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software developers and engineers

  • Cultivate a culture of DevOps by increasing transparency, communication, and collaboration across development, IT/operations, and business functions

  • Define and maintain engineering standards and processes, ensuring high-quality and efficient software development

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and proactively identify opportunities for integrating new ground breaking solutions as well as standard improvements

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to stakeholders, including senior leaders

  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development

  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and deliver successful UATs and software releases

  • Research and present new technology opportunities to continue to modernize our technology stack.

  • Drive metric driven system performance tuning and optimization to ensure system reliability and availability

  • Utilize strong leadership skills to drive a high-performing and motivated team

  • Develop the technical strategy, roadmap, and vision for the platforms you own

Basic Qualifications :

  • BS and/or MS in a technical discipline (Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred)

  • 7+ years of software engineering management

  • 5+ years of people management, managing engineers and/or developers

  • Experience with designing, building and deploying scalable and highly available micro-services

  • Experience with software management and development tools and methodologies such as Jira, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing

  • Expertise implementing applications in PaaS and SaaS delivery models

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, decision making and communication skills

  • Strong expertise managing large cross-functional projects

  • Highly self-sufficient, with a starter and can-do drive

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience with Azure DevOps

  • 2+ years’ experience working as a Solution and/or Cloud Architect

  • Certified Scrum Master and or PMP (Project Manager Professional) is a plus

  • Experience with e-commerce software development is a plus

  • Experience with Quality Assurance & Test Engineering is a plus

  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software development is a plus

  • Experience with to Machine Learning models development is a plus
