Job Description
Quality ownership for PCB development
Influence Design Rules for manufacturability.
Coworking with Development teams to define Risk Assessment, Mitigation planning for new NPI & New PCB technology.
Quality Ownership of specific products from feasibility stage to high volume production.
Ensuring that DFM/BKM is implemented for PCB yield, cost, and reliability for NPI Part Numbers assuring quality and fast release
Review new PCB technologies, running process DOE’s, identifying new materials and equipment, reliability testing, and qualification of the new PCB processes.
Working with both internal assembly factory and external OSATs
Plays a definitive role in Skyworks PCB Technology & Trend for new PCB Generations.
Quality Standards and Specifications:
Define and communicate Skyworks quality standards for raw materials and finished PCBs.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure adherence to these standards.
Monitor changes in industry regulations and adjust quality requirements as needed.
Familiar with IATF, AIAG Core Tools, ISO requirements.
Supplier Evaluation and Selection:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential suppliers.
Assess supplier capabilities, quality systems, and performance history during Skyworks Supplier Development Review
Supplier Development:
Assist suppliers in implementing quality improvement initiatives such as Zero Defects, Clean Launches.
Lead supplier audits to evaluate their processes and quality control measures. Provide guidance on process enhancements and best practices.
Review PPM/Yield/SPC trend especially for critical part numbers
Review CTQ’s for both input & Output in a regular basis
Lead Cost Reductions, Yield improvement/enhancements
Investigating and resolving non-conformances and escapes by utilizing industry and Skyworks investigation tools and practices, DMAIC, 8-D, FMEA, and driving initiatives to implement robust root cause corrective actions and mistake proofing.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality.
Regularly track and report supplier performance against KPIs.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Minimal 10 years’ Experience in PCB manufacturing processes and quality control.
Must Have Strong Analytical Mindset, Expert in Problem Solving Tools (FMEA, 8D, etc).
Be ready to drive Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Actions with Suppliers
Expert on PCB Processes inclusive of Copper Post, ENIG plating.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Expert / Technology Leader in PCB Emerging Trends & Technologies.
