SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As part of the Malaysia Supply Chain team, this position is responsible for undertaking processes to ensure the performance of inbound and outbound of orders are fulfilled accordingly. He or she will be required to track inventory and orders as well as forecast future supply needs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Order Operations
Work closely with Customer Service team to process daily orders and weekly backorders for stock allocations
Handle Goods Inbound and Outbound for 3 business lines
Provide shipping update for backorder upon request
Provide picking and packing of stocks from in-office inventory store
Arrange delivery job with appointed courier or transporter for deliveries
Inventory and Warehousing Control
Basic knowledge about demand forecasting.
Maintain inventory, scheduling and receive shipments of goods purchased
Assist freight forwarders in providing documents for custom clearances
Act as the main liaison for warehouses
Responsible to handle and make decisions when there are inbound stocks discrepancies
Handle stock return and/or disposal due to damages, excess or obsolete
Initiate bi-yearly stocktake for 3 business lines
Maintain good working relationship with Regional Supply Chain group in Hong Kong
Work closely with Sales team to resolve inventory gaps
Assist in providing materials for S&OP monthly meeting
Maintain the in-office inventory stock level and tidiness
Internal Team Support
When requested, undertake system review / testing and make changes to system/data.
Work as part of a team, providing back up and coverage and sharing responsibility across the Dentsply Sirona business for the completion of tasks as required.
Provide prompt response and support to sales team on supply updates
Coordinate with QA/RA and Sales for recovery plan when there are quality issues.
Acceptance coordination for any ad-hoc tasks assigned.
Regional Support
- Provide online/offline support to regional offices whenever needed.
Product and Function Knowledge
- Ensure ongoing functional, procedural and product knowledge is up to date, via self-directed learning, proactive and effective involvement in training and development, and market research.
