AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services Operations (SMGS) is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst to work with the Core Services and Advanced Compute teams globally. This role will be a member of the Service-Aligned Operations team supporting Worldwide, GTM and Area Specialists, partnering to help grow adoption for strategic AWS domains and services. This role will have the responsibility to continuously evolve forecasting models, analyze historical results, and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This will include working with the Specialized Sales leadership to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives.
In this role, you will work closely with members of the Specialist teams for Core Services and Advanced Compute, to ensure we are capturing and surfacing the best data and information to make optimal business decisions across our global program.
Key job responsibilities
Work Directly with data and data models.
Work with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them.
Advocate on behalf of customers to other internal stakeholders.
Drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems.
Project-manage multiple workflows.
Communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbal, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
Work with key business stakeholders to understand requirements and shape analytical deliverables.
Strategically analyze business, product and technical challenges.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years in experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Business Analyst or Finance
3+ years of experience building data analysis
3+ years of experience with Excel, SQL, Python
3+ years of experience in data visualization with tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or AWS QuickSight
Prior experience providing written and verbal communication in support of a variety of stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Macros, Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc)
3+ years of experience in SQL and manipulating large data sets in a database
Proven experience working with sales systems and tools such as CRM, variable compensation, and revenue reporting
5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
A motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
Detail oriented and experience balancing multiple tasks and deadlines
Exhibits sound business judgment and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and providing clear answers to complex problems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
