UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE - ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES has an outstanding opportunity to hire a HOSPITAL CUSTODIAN SUPERVISOR 2 .

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week, Day Shift POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Hospital Custodian Supervisor 2 oversees and directs the day-to-day operation of the UW Medical Center-Montlake - Environmental Services Department, ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment

  • Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

  • The UW Medical Center-Montlake - Environmental Service team's scope includes cleaning and disinfecting, waste management, linen services, integrated pest management, and room set up PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule personnel for proper coverage of facility, assign tasks, and make daily adjustments to ensure a fair distribution of the workload

  • Ensure that quality standards are met, by inspecting completed work, documenting performance and following up on problems

  • Investigate, document, and report all hazards and incidents to the proper management

  • Keep accurate records of staff hours and documents required for payroll

  • Provide regularly scheduled training in-services to departmental personnel and maintain records of orientation and in-service training programs

  • Complete written corrective actions and performance evaluations according to UWMC procedures

  • Assist in development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and standards of work REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in healthcare environmental service

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
