Confidential CNC Machinist in Seattle, Washington
As an Machinist you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating and programming computer numerical control CNC machines to produce high-precision components.
Responsibilities:
- Set up load and operate CNC machines according to job specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining.
- Write and modify CNC programs using G-code or CAM software.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor machine operations to detect and address any issues or deviations.
- Conduct quality checks and measurements to ensure parts meet required specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Maintain a clean digital file archive
- Work with the team on keeping machine templates up to date
* Basic Qualifications:*
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft word and Excel
- 3+ years of CNC machine operation and programming is preferred. Either industry or technical college experience is acceptable.
- Strong knowledge of G-code and CAM software.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to set up fixturing using standard fixture hardware
- Ability to design custom fixtures
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced machinists.
