SUMMARY:Responsible for developing, implementing, improving and maintaining Crowley's Information Security solutions to include the Data Classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program. Crowley is seeking an Engineer, Information Security in direct support of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) / DoD migration system from the Automated Air Load Planning System to the Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) for planning and managing cargo placement within marshalling yards and surface conveyances. The joint decision-support system developed to assist users with the staging and load-planning requirements for multiple military and commercial modes of transportation. The system incorporates intelligent tools for staging, conveyance load planning, and multi-modal planning. The system is designed and implemented in compliance with the principles of a service-oriented architecture to operate within a collaborative environment. The system enables users to plan and track cargo storage for air, ocean, rail, and truck in a single system that affords the capability of one-time entry of the data. It enables the joint community to easily create, exchange and interpret cargo movement plans through a single software application. Other features assist users by providing high quality alternative solutions to complex load planning problems. The system integrates multiple knowledge-based expert systems, data storage, and a graphical user interface within a distributed and collaborative operational environment providing global services to the operating forces. The successful candidate is Responsible for developing, implementing, improving and maintaining Crowley's Information Security solutions to include the Data Classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, develops, and communicates organizational security policies, standards, and best practices to protect sensitive information and safeguard the computer networks, systems, and data. Research emerging threats and recommends software and hardware solutions and procedures and security enhancements that neutralize those threats. Analyzes and enhances security controls throughout the company, its products, and its data stores. Designs, establishes, and executes company security strategies. Installs and uses software to protect an organization's sensitive information. Assists computer users with installation or processing of new security products and procedures. Documents, reviews, maintains, and edits security best practices and policies. Communicates and collaborates with IT team to maintain equipment and optimize security of system architecture. Obtain a high level of understanding of the Enterprise network environment, systems connected and data flows ensuring all potential egress points are identified Design, develop and implement information protection labels and tags as they align with corporate policy, frameworks, accreditations and contractual agreements. Develop monitoring and alerting DLP appropriate alerts and notifications. Identify exception/exclusion DLP use cases and implement as necessary to include developing Knowledge Based Articles (KBAs) for properly requesting an exception/exclusion ensuring an audit trail. Conduct ongoing research and keep abreast of information security systems and tools including native DLP function and features. Provide coaching and education to the organization’s user-base about the importance of Data Classification and DLP. EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business or a related field; or a combination of post high school and experience equal to five (5) years. EXPERIENCE:5-8 years of experience related to information security administration or other related cybersecurity experience TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:One of the following certifications: CompTIA Security Plus, (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or similar ISS certification. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint. Proficient understanding of security issues, techniques, and implications across one or more computer platforms. COMPETENCIES:Ability to communicate technical information effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop/evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to conduct information security audits and investigations. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop changes or alternatives. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills and provide technical/operational training. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles, and practices of information security administration. Knowledge of training methodology and the ability to develop and facilitate technical/operational training to others. OTHER:The minimum of a Secret level DoD Security Clearance is required.
