Shipping / Receiving Specialist
Penn United has an excellent opportunity in this steady daylight position as a member of our Carbide Shipping and Receiving Team. In this role, you would work as a member of the team to achieve high quality packaging and 100% on time deliveries, provide shipping and support services that contribute to the smooth flow of operations and the overall success of the business. Responsibilities Prepare and handle products for shipment to customers: including shrink and hand wrap parts, attach pack slips to packages with shipping information, create and label boxes, package and box orders File closed orders properly Receive shipments Perform general office tasks Perform inventory counts as requested Load/ unload trucks Run delivery errands Document any material non-conformances and process remakes May be required to operate fork truck (after training and certification) Qualifications
Qualifications Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent Previous shipping & receiving experience is preferred, not required Excellent general math skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Some computer literacy Strong organizational skills Service attitude, self-motivated Strong communication skills with coworkers and customers Able to handle multiple tasks with many interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment Able to work independently as well as cooperatively with teams Physical requirements include standing and the ability to consistently lift 35-50 lbs throughout the workday Compensation & benefits: Penn United Technologies currently employs nearly 700 people in our employee-owned precision manufacturing company, located about 35 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in Butler County.
