Job Title: Avionics Technician II
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician II to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or GED, with four years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics coupled with two years of related experience. The position requires providing leadership, technical expertise, and guidance while performing operational and functional tests and repairs of avionics/electronic systems to ensure defect-free aircraft. You will play a crucial role in maintaining schedules without compromising on Safety or Quality.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate superior technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
Provide direct training to personnel to support cross-training goals, ensuring a safety-conscious, quality-oriented, skilled workforce.
Teach the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
Ensure quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshoot and teach troubleshooting processes to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
Effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity, including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring.
Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
Maintain daily logs and other paperwork diligently, ensuring all work performed is properly documented.
Pre-inspect work of others prior to submitting to inspection for approval to reduce rework and inspection time.
Provide knowledge and technical expertise in testing and maintaining test equipment and electronic systems and components.
Enforce the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED
Four years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics with two years of related experience
Superior technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems
Experience in operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics/electronic systems
Ability to teach and train personnel in installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components
Knowledge of splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring
Experience in maintaining daily logs and documentation
Strong adherence to safety regulations
Additional Skills & Qualifications
FCC preferred
NCATT preferred
Valid driver's license
No history of failed drug tests under a DOT program
Ability to start within 4 weeks of offer

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.19 - $32.19/hr.
