Caterpillar is looking to add a skilled Senior Total Rewards Partner to our team. Your role within this team will be to manage the relationship with Caterpillar’s global captive consultant, global benefits broker, and several other global insurers to ensure benefit program policy renewals are completed in a timely manner, and compliant with each country’s laws and regulations. Additionally, you will gather and analyze global Total Rewards trends & benchmarking information that will be used to ensure regional programs are market competitive & support business and talent objectives.

What you will do:

  • Maintains a project plan to track and execute timely insurance policy renewals in each region and country.

  • Reviews and discusses policy terms & conditions with the captive risk manager and captive consultant underwriting teams.

  • Leads all policy renewal discussions between local and regional teams, the captive consultant, and benefit brokers.

  • Routes all captive policy renewals for final approval & execution.

  • Leads weekly calls with the captive consultant and the global benefits broker.

  • Investigates and resolves escalated issues from internal business partners, the captive consultant, or global benefit brokers.

  • Create side-by-side policy comparisons for consideration by business leaders when multiple design choices are available.

  • Analyze aggregated claims information to identify opportunities to improve benefits strategy or initiatives.

  • Conduct periodic meetings with regional benefit leaders and teams to review captive program deliverables, assess satisfaction with vendors, processes, and policies.

Skill Required:

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

  • Benefits Programs: Knowledge of employee benefits programs, processes, issues and considerations; ability to design and implement benefits programs.

  • Compensation Management: Knowledge of compensation structure, and regulations and policies related to compensation; ability to design, implement and evaluate compensation programs, policies and processes within an organization.

  • Retirement Programs: Knowledge of features, policies and processes of retirement programs; ability to implement and manage employee retirement programs and plans.

What You Have:

  • Preferred 3+ years of experience managing employer global captive benefit insurance processes in multiple countries.

  • Preferred 3+ years of experience managing the employer relationship and vendor performance of a global benefit broker.

  • Experience reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts and performance guarantees.

  • Experience creating compelling business cases to support benefit design recommendations.

  • Experience leading implementation of benefit programs and initiatives.

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams

  • English Advanced
