Diageo On Trade Manager Chile in Santiago, Chile

Job Description :

Purpose :

Lead the On Trade and Out Trade channel transformation in Chile to become the most relevant and strategic source of growth for Diageo, Andina and Embonor, building brands, categories and generating value to our customers.

Ensures commercial plans are grounded in deep consumer and customer insights, leveraging market (Category, Customer & Shopper) opportunities at scale to deliver/exceed with Local Distributor AOP plans, coordinate and implement plans aligned to deliver/exceed with Partners, leading execution plans while monitor evolution of key performance indicators to achieve annual plans (SO, SOV, ND, EDGE).

Decision Making :

  • Understands the market environment and based on this, is able to define best plans for the On and Out Trade, key channels for local market transformation.

  • Works with Coca-Cola Andina and Embonor to build the On and Out Trade channel, together with DAMs to explore opportunities and identify those that will provide maximum value

  • Commercial Acumen: Coordination of Total On/Out Trade Channel, managing plans and tactical actions to deliver/exceed AOP plans.

Financial Responsibility :

  • Responsible for Channel Volume (Sell Out), Share of Value, Distribution and Execution (EDGE)

  • Responsible for JCP alignment with Coca-Cola Andina and Embonor, in conjunction with DAMs, with channel plans and BB to deliver plan.

  • Ensuring right investment of A&P and TS, with M&E analysis and SoA to approve interventions

  • Budget Management

Leadership Responsibility :

  • External Brand Ambassadors are responsibility, yet strong leadership is required to be successful through managing, involving and influencing effectively a high variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Great relationship builder with different stakeholders internally and externally at all levels, including senior leaders, presidents and owners of companies

  • Lead and develop a team, regular coaching and feedback

  • Team work and synergy with CMO, CP&A and Mkt, to build channel plans

  • Persuasive, decisions based on data, capable of influencing organization to create value

Key Outputs/Deliverables :

  • Deliver AOP targets related to Sell Out, Distribution, EDGE and SOV

  • Deliver KO Andina plans, winning at On and Out Trade

  • Ensure right execution of sales drivers (EDGE) according to Channel and Segmentation

  • Execute and implement all plans and activities aligned with CP&A to drive performance

  • Align, define and implement a JUBP with distributor in key territories

  • Develop Distributor On Trade capabilities

  • Ensures full compliance with CARM, Diageo Code of Conduct

  • Monthly Performance Tracking, according to CPR and CAP agenda

  • M&E Culture to track performance, investment and improve Sell Out.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineer, Business Administration or similar. MBA highly recommended

  • 5 years of experience in Commercial areas or in Senior Sales roles in CPG´s organizations, with focus on On and Trade Out Trade Channel management.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Role is based in Chile

  • This role requires a strong presence in “Field” with extensive and regular trade visits within the channel, including On and Out Trade operation hours.
