You will drive the execution and continuous improvement of centralized processes and HR transactional support. Develop and document standard processes, manage key HR systems, and implement solutions to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR service delivery in line with current regulations, business controls and established service level agreements. Perform data analysis, collaborate with HR to ensure accurate and timely execution for HR processes, identify areas of opportunity, and troubleshoot issues. Partner with external vendors as needed to ensure effective employee and business support.

This is a customer focused, pro-active, energetic and collaborative role within the Human Resource Operations shared service function. The HR Ops team will function across the business and will provide support to employees, managers, and HR professionals. In this exciting role, you will research, analyze and respond to simple to complex HR inquiries. Including: candidate reimbursement, onboarding, managing invoices and handling letters of employment for Visa’s and Immigration. Additionally, merit and bonus cycles, salary survey participation, annual benefit enrollment and provide data for any grading or job evaluation requested by the business.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide a consistent, timely, accurate and customer-focused HR administration service to key stakeholders and customers, contributing to the HR overall vision and strategy.

  • Explains policies, practices, procedures and implements and oversees a comprehensive compliance program that adheres to all relevant Puerto Rico and federal laws.

  • Serve as an employee and customer advocate who specializes in creating a culture focused on exceptional customer service.

  • Interpret and ensure compliance to simple and complex policies and procedures.

  • Educate employees on HR services and encourage use of self-service tools.

  • Oversee the design and development of tools, guidelines, and procedures to optimize leave administration and overall service delivery.

  • Non-Occupation LOA Management (Day to Day)

  • Collaborate closely with third parties in the administration of specific leaves.

  • Management and compliance of Non-Occupational LOA records/file.

  • Partner with People Services and other BUs HRBPs (ei. GEC, RTX…) in the activation and deactivation of the employee in Workday (due to LOA).

  • Coordination of RTW (Communicate with employees, managers and nurses to coordinate the return-to-work process, including leave expirations).

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with HR, Payroll, and third-party administrators to efficiently manage leaves and address complex cases.

  • Conduct regular audits of leave cases to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Develop and maintain reports and metrics related to leaves of absence.

  • Develop and delivery of educational resources to employees and management about leave of absence protocols; promote a culture of awareness and understanding.

  • Additional activities related to LOA and RTW management matters required by the project and/or HR leader.

  • SINOT/CHOFERIL/LTD employer form.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • Experience in HR fundamental areas (HR General Services, LOA Management).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • This position is located in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico; candidate must be local.

  • Experience managing Leave of Absence (LOA) Process

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment; large employee populations and high volume of requests

  • Reporting/Metrics knowledge and proficiency

  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential material and possess good business judgement and ethics

  • Ability to build trust-based relationships and effectively collaborate

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
