Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manages application of sales policies in field

  • Reviews field information and analyzes market trends to develop long range plans

  • Negotiates major project tenders within specified delegation of authority

  • Manages regional organization and policies for effective attainment of objectives

  • Establishes and manages annual sales and expense budgets

  • Develops additions or revisions to company sales policies

  • Selects and prices pumps for tenders

  • Reviews new product information from product development

  • Reviews product manual information prior to release

  • Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.

  • Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards

  • Performs other duties as necessary

  • Manages coworkers, including application specialists, sales representatives and administrative coworkers

  • Responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of regional territory

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent education and experience required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proven experience in the establishment of a team environment

  • Knowledge of pump and rotating equipment acquired through 5 or more years experience in the pump industry

  • The ability to define problems, collect applicable data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

  • Good computers skills (word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software)
