Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous and experienced Audit Senior to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This role is central to our operations, focusing on the review and analysis of financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with GAAP and federal and state regulations. As an Audit Senior, you will lead audit teams, develop recommendations for improving systems and procedures, and communicate effectively with management and clients regarding audit findings and other relevant issues. Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with GAAP and federal and state regulations

• Lead and direct audit teams in the evaluation of financial risks and the implementation of audit plans

• Develop recommendations for improving internal control systems and procedures, based on the analysis and interpretation of audit findings

• Communicate effectively with management and clients regarding audit findings, recommendations, and other relevant issues

• Document audit procedures, findings, and recommendations to ensure a comprehensive and accurate audit trail

• Devise accurate and timely audit reports to meet regulatory authority’s expectations

• Participate in detail oriented development activities to maintain current knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and relevant regulations

• Assist in the development of the company's audit strategy

• Conduct special audits or investigations as required

• Supervise and mentor entry level audit staff, providing them guidance and feedback

• Communicate with stakeholders to explain audit findings and recommend corrective actions

• Prepare audit working papers that record and summarize audit procedures performed

• Perform continuous auditing and monitoring of financial and operational processes

• Identify anomalies in financial records or statements and investigate the causes of any discrepancies

• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems in place

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial records, reports, and client information. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Experience in Audit Engagements

• Strong knowledge of Auditing principles and procedures

• Previous role as an Audit Senior is a plus

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required

• Familiarity with US GAAP standards and regulations

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments.
