Business Analyst - Santa Ana, Costa Rica

We are looking for a passionate Business Analyst. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.

Role Responsibilities

Analytics:

  • Conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design.

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.

  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

  • You will analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.

Lean Management:

  • Naturally be inclined to always think about how to implement new ideas, products, processes, and improvements.

  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing data, identifying root causes, implementing solutions, and monitoring results.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Quickly grasp and master new concepts and requirements, related to product and process knowledge.

  • Work independently and take ownership of projects/initiatives and follow through until resolution.

Role Requirements

  • Working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.

  • Working experience in Project Management.

  • College or higher degree in Industrial Engineering with at least 1 year of experience working in the financial sector.

  • Fluency in English with outstanding verbal, writing, and listening skills (B2+).

  • Ability to produce datasets and reports for analysis using PowerBI and Excel.

  • MS Office proficiency.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to details.

  • Confidence in making instinctual and logical decisions with little or no supervision.

  • Be self-motivated and results oriented.

  • Customer experience mindset.

  • Strong analytical skills (https://resources.workable.com/analytical-skills-interview-questions) with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

  • Agile approach (Scrum, Green Belt, JIRA) and/or any other business intelligence tools (Looker, Snowflake, etc.) is a plus.

  • Schedule Flexibility is a must. Schedule: Day Shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Days off: TBD.
